Two paramedics were killed when a car driven by Russian soldiers crashed into their ambulance in the southwestern city of Belgorod overnight, the local news outlet Pepel reported Friday.Security video camera video footage released online revealed the passenger car running a traffic signal at high speed before strongly hitting the ambulance.The victims were determined as paramedics Olga Lyubimova and Marina Parovyshnik.
Belgorod citizens later positioned flowers at a makeshift memorial at the crash site.The ambulance chauffeur and all 3 guys in the passenger vehicle were hospitalized.
According to Pepel, the 3 guys are Russian soldiers from the republic of Dagestan.The chauffeur, 31-year-old Isa Abdurashidov, faces up to seven years in jail if convicted of traffic safety offenses, according to a police statement shared by Pepel.
